With the very recent sad passing of Harold Raymond, we believe a founding member of Sudbury Cycle Club, we have received interest in commemorating the club’s history. We feel sure the town had other cycle club’s in the more distant past too that would be interesting to hear about. 3/4/24

Heritage Centre fixture underpins Football Club’s history
Although AFC Sudbury is relatively young it’s origins with Sudbury FC go back as far as 1885. Our first lengthy and enjoyable meeting with Darren Witt underlined the local public fascination with football history. 25/1/24
Trustees give thumbs-up for new display project in museum
Sudbury Museum Trust have given their backing for the idea of bringing a new audience to the Heritage Centre. Sporting history is a theme not currently covered but is still very much a part of community heritage. 4/12/23
Project originators draft first ideas on Sudbury Sports History theme
Andy Read and Robin Drury put their heads together and come up with the concept of blending a Sports Hall of Fame with the deep history of Sudbury’s many sports clubs. With display space suddenly becoming available in the Heritage Centre, ideas begin to take shape. October 23
